Dear MIK&Associates,
I am writing to tell you how much Iappreciate the hard work and long hours
you put into making the POS2000 suite such a successful product for us. Thank
you to Steve Stewart, Trent Wyatt, Matt Wang, Brent Stephenson, Sandy Guennette,
James McGuiness, Larry Treachler, and of course you, John. I won't spend much
time on why we were looking for something else, except to say the product we
were using was extremely slow and inaccurate. The problems caused by this
inefficient product were loss of valuable man-hours and loss of sales. Many
hours were spent in finding and correcting inaccurate data, troubleshooting
software glitches, and importing POS data into Platinum for Windows inventory
and accounts receivable. We also watched as customers would literally put their
purchases down and walk out the door because they were unhappy with the customer
service due to the register program hanging.
All that said, it will make it more understandable how grateful and excited
we are that your group took on this project after speaking with you at
Perspectives in 1998. The POS 2000 register runs like a dream. We have not had
one "hang" or crash since the inception of installation in March 1999. The few
problems we encountered were either due to operator error or catastrophic
circumstances (power outages). And every time I brought up an operator error
issue your group took steps every time to minimize the occurrence of these types
of errors in the future. It just runs, quickly and efficiently. We also are very
happy with the POS 2000 Administration module including the Security Manager.
This piece makes adding users, modifying permissions, generating reports,
updating register info and importing register data into Platinum a breeze. It is
quick and user friendly. In addition to these, the POS 2000 Cash Room has
completed the circle of information processing by incorporating the cash
processing and importing of this data directly into the Premier Ledger module of
Platinum for Windows. It sure is nice to be able to depend on the accuracy of
information being imported into our financial statements; especially considering
the volume of transactions we are processing at different times. (In our busy
season we could be doing $15,000 to $20,000 a day on 19 registers in 5 locations
consisting of sales as small as $.79!) Last year, our gift shop operations had
sales of over $6 million! And last, but not least, your Barcode Complete
solution has made the entry of items being sold in the register as fast and
accurate as it can be.
Thank you again for all your help in making this project such a success for
us at the U.S. Space &Rocket Center. I can not forget to mention that your
Customer Service and Technical Support continue to exceed my expectations. Every
time I called Ihad a solution, or at least a response to my request for a
solution, within 8 hours. And, each time the respondent was both friendly and
knowledgeable. I look forward to our continued association with such a quality
organization.
